Carrera, Ouviña, Gil, Casas and Allen say goodbye to the Olympic adventure in the quarterfinals
Valencia Basket players say goodbye to the Olympic Games. The Spanish national team could not overcome France in a heart-stopping final in a game in which the national team lacked accuracy (64-67). The Taronja players closed their participation in the Olympics with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals by Cristina Ouviña, 2 points and 2 rebounds by Queralt Casas, 4 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals by Laura Gil and 2 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist by Raquel Carrera.
Bec Allen's Australia also failed to beat USA in the quarterfinals (55-79). The Taronja outside player had 3 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block, ending her olympic adventure too.
